I attended the meeting and I was deeply touched by the integrity of the two presenters. I sincerely hope the QMC reflect on this article and change their stance. Xxxx

I think it was unwise to hold meetings in any religious-owned building. Religion is based on irrational faith, I think we can do better than that.

Hopefully, we can find a way to have premises that genuinely support freedom of speech. It's possible that we could be shut out of everywhere due to the narrow, one-sided definitions of diversity and equality.

As someone who often attended meetings of groups struggling for justifier and spiritual freedom at Quaker Meeting House in 1990s-2000s I disappointed to say the least they they cancelled your meetings. Quakers of all people should know from history elite power grabs when they see them and gender ideology and Covid are both eugenicist power grabs by the elites. I am also though glad to discover there is resistance in Edinburgh. I wld love to know more about your courageous resistance and of future meetings.

The fibres of silencing and censorship are everywhere. It seems people can only hear their own views repeated back to them.

Some useful information I was asked to pass on in response to this situation:

Protected act in terms of s27(2) (c) EA 2010 related to Schedule 9. A question related to the Schedule 9, part 1, section 1 EA 2010.”

Essentially, talking or discussing the Equality Act 2010, and implications on any protected characteristics, is in itself a protected act. Anyone is allowed to discuss the EA and should be protected while doing so.

And just yesterday, the UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, Reem Alsalem, made this statement. Very succinct and clear!!
